Fasig-Tipton-Winner-Logo.jpgDebuting Friday for Mark Glatt and Muir Hut Stables, FORMULA ROSSA (f, 3, Vekoma–Fay Na Na, by Majestic Warrior) stalked off a heavily-wagered Bob Baffert runner Brilliantly (Uncle Mo), surged to the front at the quarter pole and put that rival away to cruise home a new 'TDN Rising Star'. Breaking just a touch behind the favorite, the 4-1 shot settled third as stablemates Brilliantly and Cooey (Girvin) battled into the far turn. As Cooey faded on the rail, Brilliantly pushed on and opened up a gap but Formula Rossa drew closer with an outside bid at the quarter pole and impressed in the final sixteenth to win first-time out under Mike Smith. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0.
