Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 1 Journalists Share Posted March 1 Last year's GIII Street Sense Stakes winner SOVEREIGNTY (c, 3, Into Mischief–Crowned, by Bernardini) came flying down the Gulfstream stretch to nail 'TDN Rising Star' River Thames (Maclean's Music) in the shadow of the wire and take the GII Coolmore Fountain of Youth Stakes and earn 50 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby Saturday. Last for much of the running as River Thames and Neoequos (Neolithic) showed the way, the Godolphin homebred, who was making his 2025 debut, began to get into high gear with a big move around the far turn. River Thames tried to put things away on the run to the first wire but Sovereignty was absolutely rolling down the center of the track and got by just in time to earn the win in a final time of 1:43.12. GIII Holy Bull winner Burnham Square (Liam's Map) was fourth as the pacesetters filled out the minor awards. Lifetime Record: 4-2-1-0. O/B-Godolphin; T-William Mott.
