He had to settle for second behind White Abarrio (Race Day) in the GI Pegasus World Cup but 'TDN Rising Star' LOCKED (c, 4, Gun Runner–Luna Rosa, by Malibu Moon) did one better Saturday while romping to victory in the GI Santa Anita Handicap. Opting to skip last week's G1 Saudi Cup in favor of this spot, the 3-5 favorite never looked in doubt, surging to the front with a sweeping move around the far turn and putting 12-1 shot Express Train (Union Rags) quickly in the rearview mirror to come home by nearly double digits. The 6-year-old Express Train held second while Hit Show (Candy Ride {Arg}) ran third in a final time of 2:01.71.

 

#7 LOCKED ($3.40) was spectacular in the $300,000 Santa Anita Handicap (G1) at @santaanitapark! The four-year-old Gun Runner (@Three_Chimneys) colt was piloted by @jose93_ortiz for trainer @PletcherRacing.
