She’s Back! Horse of the Year Thorpedo Anna Returns a Wire-to-Wire Winner in the Azeri

Horse of the Year and 'TDN Rising Star' Thorpedo Anna (Fast Anna) set fractions of :24.27 and :48.59 and made every pole a winning one with a facile victory in her highly anticipated 4-year-old debut in Saturday's GII Azeri Stakes at Oaklawn Park.

Last year's GI Breeders' Cup Distaff heroine stopped the timer for 1 1/16 miles in 1:44.02 over the wet fast going. Free Like a Girl (El Deal) was second. Recharge (Gun Runner) was third.
