Photo: bradleyphotos.com.au The Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) is one of five massive Group 1 races lined up for Golden Slipper Day at Rosehill on Saturday afternoon, with a quality field of 11 set to take their place in the time-honoured three-year-old feature. Three-time Group 1-winner and Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) runner-up Broadsiding holds the call with horse racing bookmakers post-barrier draw, with the son of Too Darn Hot still holding firm favouritism at $2.00 despite drawing out in gate nine. James McDonald will take the reins and is on deck to secure a hat-trick of wins in the race after claiming victory aboard Dundeel (2013) and Anamoe (2022) in recent years. Swiftfalcon comes through the same event and is on the second line of betting at , while Aeliana ($6.00) finished back in fourth spot and is the only filly taking on the boys in this year’s edition. Melbourne raider Goldrush Guru is starting to hit his stride fourth-up into the campaign and is equal on the third line of betting at $6.00 with BlondeBet as the pair go in search of a second Group 1 victory after combining in the VRC Derby (2500m) in the spring. New Zealand raider Checkmate ($15.00) is the best supported of those at double-figure odds and brings a different form-line to dissect, with the Lance O’Sullivan & Andrew Scott-trained gelding looking to bounce from a minor placing in the inaugural running of The Kiwi (1500m) at Ellerslie on March 8. The 2025 Rosehill Guineas is race six on the program and is scheduled to get underway at 3:25pm AEDT. 2025 Rosehill Guineas Final Field 1.
