Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted March 22 Journalists Share Posted March 22 Six starts. Six wins. Godolphin homebred GOOD CHEER (f, 3, Medaglia d'Oro–Wedding Toast, by Street Sense) stamped herself as a force to be reckoned with in Louisville on the first Friday in May with another impressive win in Saturday's GII Fair Grounds Oaks. Brought back a winner this year in the GII Rachel Alexandra Stakes Feb. 15, the 2-5 favorite picked up her fourth straight win over the 1 1/16-mile distance. Stalking just off the pace as Ahavah (City of Light) led narrowly over Her Laugh (Practical Joke) up the backstretch, Good Cheer always loomed three wide and was more than up to the task when prompted off the far turn for an effort. Ahavah did well to hang onto second but Good Cheer was well clear even as she drifted down to the rail in the later stages to keep her perfect streak in tact. Lifetime Record: 6-6-0-0.
