Fourth to Luxor Café (American Pharoah) in the Listed Hyacinth Stakes in February, the colt earned 100 points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby with his victory on Saturday. One of the quickest away, he soon settled against the rail and set a pressured pace while shadowed by Rafid (Into Mischief). Heart Of Honor tracked in fourth, and Don In the Mood (Jpn) (Asia Express) ground into contention on the outside as noses pointed for home. The eventual top three locked horns at the 400-metre mark, Admire Daytona on the fence, Heart Of Honor in between horses, and Don In The Mood with ominous momentum on the outside. Relegated to third briefly, Admire Daytona rerallied and punched back to seize the advantage and just pip Heart Of Honor, who drifted towards the stands a touch late on.
