She engaged the leader at the top of the lane and put the matter to rest in just a few strides, powering home much the best and completing the seven furlongs in 1:27.18. A narrowly beaten second in her lone previous start over conventional dirt in her Dec. 1 debut at Churchill Downs, Verity graduated over the all-weather at Turfway Jan. 23 and added a six-furlong optional claimer tally in Florence last time out Mar. 6.
