Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 8 Journalists Share Posted April 8 Jockey Luis Saez, who was unseated during Keeneland's second race Tuesday, is being evaluated by a medical team following the spill. Saez was aboard 2-1 race favorite Fateful Lightning (Tapit) when he came off awkwardly at the eighth pole in the stretch run of the 1 1/16-mile maiden special weight race on the turf. Fateful Lightning was uninjured in the incident and caught by the outrider. Further updates from Keeneland indicated that Saez was transported to the hospital and was off his mounts for the rest of the day including Admiral Dennis (Constitution) in the GI Toyota Blue Grass. After being unseated in race 2, jockey Luis Saez is being evaluated by UK HealthCare Medical Services and in stable condition.
