barryb
Does anyone else notice that runners down on the fence have a massive advantage on this track, nothing swooping ever gets up. Whats the reason this occurs there in summer? is it linked to how the track plays, rail or watering?.
curious
Maybe the ones that get to the rail are also the fastest over the distance?

I claim no expertise in assessing form on tracks like Warrnambool. It has taken me 18-24 months to suss out Oz racing and only now think I have Sydney and Melbourne metro nearly sorted. The rest of Oz racing remains a mystery and I won't be betting there any time soon. So, I'll defer to your expertise. My comment was just a guess but then I tend to rely heavily on overall race times in assessing performance regardless of pace and bias factors which I mostly don't consider. barryb
I have no real knowledge of it either, just have a mate who is a member there and he keeps bringing it up so I have started taking notice and hes bang on. The last race was won by a donkey who stayed down on the fence with the pace. Edited January 6, 2019 by barryb
