Investigate further Chief !

There are regularly between 40 and 80 nominations for Victoria races , yet often 8 or 9 accept.

i suspect there is a different NOM process than NZ.

At a guess I'd say the noms can be made weeks before a race so horses can have their possible campaign planned out well in advance.

Note that Flemington has around 40 noms per race for Saturday ,while country meeting  Echuca has over 80.

Even the recent big jumps races had 30 = plus noms with fields of about 8.

Well we'd be lucky to find 15 eligible horses for a BM58.

The BM52 at Echuca has 85 noms.

The 0-58 1000m maiden has 68 , the 0-52 1200m maiden has 81 , the 0-58 1600 maiden has 68.

That Werribee race you show is headed by # 47 A Good Yarn.....is this yours ? Its 11 yrs old !!!

Mark Walker has 2-win filly The Victress nommed as well !

That's not the point. Virtually all races around Victoria Provincial have that many noms.

Our horse [1 win] is in at Wangaratta, Cranbourne and Werribee.

Being the know all that you are, see if you can work out what one she is. [There's a clue]

Bitchiness doesn't become you.  I'm not actually interested in what horse you are racing.   I assume you will accept at whichever location has the weakest opposition.

I just made the observation that 76 horses were nominated for a BM 58 race at Werribee.  By comparison in NZ we are lucky to get enough to make a field.
