One of the leading fancies is last year's runner-up, the Wertheimers' Aventure, by 2009 Arc hero Sea The Stars. The 4-year-old filly won the G3 Prix Allez France at ParisLongchamp in April. Other 2024 Arc runners are also back for more in 2025 G2 Mooresbridge Stakes hero and Arc third Los Angeles (Camelot) for the Coolmore partners, Arc fourth Sosie (Sea The Stars)–successful in the 2025 G1 Prix Ganay in the Wertheimer blue-and-white–and Arc fifth Sevenna's Knight (Camelot), third in the G3 Prix d'Hedouville on May 4. As expected, there is a strong challenge from Japan, with six entered, among them champion and G1 Hopeful Stakes hero Croix Du Nord (Kitasan Black), second in the G1 Japanese 2000 Guineas and pointing to the G1 Japanese Derby on June 1. Another 3-year-old is Alohi Alii, by Duramente. Champion and 2024 G1 Arima Kinen heroine Regaleira (Suave Richard) is signed on, as is G1 Tenno Sho (Spring) one-two Redentor (Rulership) and G2 Red Sea Turf Handicap winner Byzantine Dream (Epiphaneia). Arqana August auction darling Shin Emperor (Siyouni) has family history on his side as a full-brother to 2020 Arc hero Sottsass. There are also a trio of entries tracing to female Arc winners–G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches heroine Zarigana (Siyouni) is a granddaughter of 2008 Arc victress Zarkava (Zamindar) who races in the Aga Khan silks, while 2012 Arc winner Solemia (Poliglote) foaled Arc hopeful Internaute to the cover of Sea The Stars for the Wertheimers. Rounding out the trio is Doha (Sea The Stars), who is a daughter of 2013/14 Arc winner Treve (Motivator) for Al Shaqab Racing. Overall, there are 26 French-trained horses entered, with 28 British-trained, 13 Irish-trained, the aforementioned sextet of Japanese-trained horses and five horses trained in Germany.
