The May 21 foal, bred in Ontario, was hammered down for $150,000 at last year's Keeneland September Sale to trainer Hideyuki Mori, whose success with North American-sourced horses include Group 1 winner Matera Sky and Saudi Derby hero Full Flat, both sons of Speightstown. The O-Miki House HK Service Co Ltd; B-Dr B Van Arem (ON); T-Hideyuki Mori 6th-TOK, ¥14,250,000 ($99k), Newcomers, 2yo, 1400mT ENVY ME (f, 2, Munnings–Seattle Slang, by Tapit), a $275,000 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga acquisition by the North Hills team, is out of a mare who cost Phoenix Thoroughbreds $600,000 as a 2-year-old at the 2019 Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale and went on to finish third to hot favorite Envoutante (Uncle Mo) in the GIII Remington Park Oaks in 2020.
