Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 10 Journalists Posted July 10 6th-SAR, $100K, Msw, 2yo, 1mT, 4:02 p.m. ET. DR. AGNE (Into Mischief), the third foal to race out of champion turf female Lady Eli (Divine Park), is set for his first start under trainer Cherie DeVaux who TDN contributor Tim Wilkin reminded us Thursday is all too familiar with the celebrated dam while an assistant for Chad Brown. A half-sister to MGSW Bizzy Caroline (Afleet Alex), Lady Eli was a $4.2-million buy for John Sikura/Hill 'n' Dale during the 2018 Keeneland November Sale. Himself a $185,000 purchase during Keeneland September and now owned by Madaket, Twin Brook and Belladonna, Dr. Agne's extended female family includes English multiple group stakes winner Sacred (GB) (Exceed And Excel {Aus}). Another first-time starter is Honoree (Code of Honor). A $220,000 buy at last year's Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Yearlings Sale, the Shug McGaughey trainee is out of an unraced dam who claims MSW Bullseye Beauty (Dialed In) and GSW Vergara (Noble Mission {GB}). Finally, D.J. Stables homebred Orbit (Medaglia d'Oro) is the first foal for SP Earth Strike (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire})–the half-sister of Irish multiple Group 1 winner Order of St George (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and GSW Angel Terrace (Ghostzapper). TJCIS PPS 8th-MTH, $52K, Msw, 3yo/up, 1m, 5:17 p.m. ET. The initial foal for stakes-winning Three Chimneys homebred Magic Dance (More Than Ready), New Magic (Curlin) was sent to trainer Chad Brown. The colt's second dam Magical World (Distorted Humor) was made the sales topper when Mandy Pope and Three Chimneys went to $5.2-million at the 2021 Fasig-Tipton November Sale. Her offspring include GI Acorn Stakes heroine Guarana (Ghostzapper)–who was the fourth highest return at the same Fasig-Tipton Sale at $4.4-million–and GSW Beatbox (Pioneerof the Nile), a 2019 $2.1-million Keeneland September grad. TJCIS PPS 10th-SAR, $110K, OC100K/N1X, 3yo, 1 1/16mT, 6:19 p.m. ET. 'TDN Rising Star' Asbury Park (GB) (Frankel {GB}) earned his tin star for co-owners Peter Brant and St. Elias at second asking over the Spa turf June 6. Now the dark bay trained by Chad Brown is ready for the next level. The 3-year-old's dam is French stakes winner Limonar (Ire) (Street Cry {Ire}). Her produce includes English stakes winner Mokarris (More Than Ready), English multiple group victor Spanish Mission (Noble Mission {GB}) and SW Dude N Colorado (GB) (Uncle Mo).
