Waldnebel is another with unplaced Classic form and returns to action coming back off a 4 1/2-length eighth in last month's G1 Deutsches Derby. Eckhard Sauren's G3 Preis des Winterfavoriten second Think Giant was last seen running third in Compiegne's Listed Prix Pelleas and, like Parachutiste, steps up to 12 furlongs for the first time. British raider Square D'Alboni is the only contender with a black-type victory in the books and represents the storied G3 Chester Vase form, but it must be noted he ran last of eight in that Roodeye contest. Entailed looked useful at Sandown and the fact Andrew Balding has her back out again eight days later is significant, with her owner-breeders Cheveley Park looking to break their duck in this race. TDN Verdict: Godolphin's ultra-consistent G1 Prix du Jockey Club runner-up Cualificar will be a warm order to add to his victories in this term's G3 Prix La Force and G3 Prix de Guiche. Brian Meehan trainee Rashabar has collected prize-money in each of his four attempts at the highest level and the G1 Irish 2000 Guineas and G1 St James's Palace Stakes fourth is back up in grade having run second in last month's Listed Steventon Stakes at Newbury. Tsuyoshi Suzuki's Alohi Alii gets an early taste of Gallic action in his quest to become Japan's first G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero. He was last seen finishing a close-up eighth in April's G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) at Nakayama. Last year's G1 Bayerisches Zuchtrennen hero Calif has suffered seven reversals, including four at the highest level, since that career best and is another in need of inspiration. Wathnan Racing's 2024 G1 Prix du Jockey Club runner-up First Look halted a losing sequence of eight when triumphing in this month's Listed Prix du Pays d'Auge at Clairefontaine and needs to find extra here. Unlike his foes, David Dromard's Woodchuck has never been tested in Group 1 company and will head postward coming back off a close-up third in last month's G3 Grand Prix de Vichy. [Sean Cronin].

The Lingfield Derby Trial winner Puppet Master is the Ballydoyle representative bidding to provide the stable with a ninth renewal since 2014 and if trends are anything to go by the rest may as well stay in their boxes.
