The Rockingham Ranch and David A. Bernsen colorbearer, bred by Ramona S. Bass, is trained by Peter Miller. He was a $115,000 KEESEP yearling and a $310,000 KEEAPR juvenile. Manfred and Penny Conrad rolled the dice and supplemented Shamrock Rose (First Dude–Slew’s Quality, by Elusive Quality) into the GI Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint, and the decision paid off in spades, as the Pennsylvania-bred became the third 3-year-old filly to be named Eclipse champion female sprinter.
