Becoming the latest Pattern-race winner in the silks of Richard and Roisin Henry on Saturday, Catching The Moon (No Nay Never) came out on top in Ayr's G3 Firth of Clyde Stakes. Like the owners' 2022 Oh So Sharp winner Midnight Mile trained by Richard Fahey, the 15-2 shot who had opened her account at Beverley travelled smoothly for Oisin Orr throughout the six-furlong feature and outstayed Lam Yai (Lucky Vega) to prevail by a neck.

“I travelled well and she probably didn't really enjoy the ground, but she got through it today. She's picked up and done it nicely,” Orr said of the granddaughter of the 2015 Pretty Polly heroine Diamondsandrubies (Fastnet Rock) who was in turn out of the owners' Moyglare Stud Stakes winner and multiple Group 1-placed Quarter Moon (Sadler's Wells).

“On better ground you will see her run better. She's a lovely filly and she's very straightforward. She's one of the nicer fillies and it's great to be on her,” he added.
