Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted 2 hours ago Journalists Posted 2 hours ago A colt and a filly by Sioux Nation and Gleneagles, respectively, each brought €70,000 on Saturday to share topper duties during the SGA Yearling Sale in Milan. Sold as lot 15, the Gleneagles filly was snapped up by John Kalmanson from the Razza del Velino consignment. A half-sister to two stakes horses anchored by G2 Derby Italiano hero Keep On Fly (Rip Van Winkle), the chestnut is a full-sister to G2 Oaks d'Italia heroine Shavasana, who also prevailed in the G3 Premio Regina Elena (Italian 1000 Guineas). The trio are out of Group 3 winner So Many Shots (Duke Of Marmalade), who finished third in the 2014 Italian Oaks. Farther back, the filly is kin to Group 1-winning sires Jakkalberry and Crackerjack King. Later in the day, that price was matched by Societa Agricola Alessandrucci's lot 29, a son of Sioux Nation and the Cable Bay mare Visayas, who won at the listed level in Italy and was also third in the G3 Premio Carlo e Francesco Aloisi there. From the family of G1 July Cup hero Sakhee's Secret, the bay caught the eye of Diego Romeo's Scuderia Incolinx. Other lots of note include a €55,000 daughter of Sottsass (lot 12) and Savana Pearl (Byron) from the draft of Societa Agricola Alessandrucci. The filly was picked up by Scuderia Verbano and is a half-sister to G3 Premio Elena e Sergio Cumani winner Party Goer (Intense Focus) and to Listed Premio Rumon hero Wide Sea (The Gurkha). Also breaking the €50,000 mark was lot 42, a filly by Invincible Spirit out of the listed-placed Field Of Roses (Epaulette). Renato Paglierini paid €53,000 for the relative of Italian group winners Voice Of Love (Poet's Voice) and Time Chant (War Chant) from the Allevamento Le Gi consignment. Of the 99 horses catalogued, 86 went through the ring with 68 (69%) marked as sold for an aggregate of €1,109,000. The average was €16,309 and the median was €10,000.
