Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted February 8, 2019 Journalists Share Posted February 8, 2019 A class action suited was filed Thursday in Fayette Circuit Court alleging that Hagyard Davidson McGee Associates falsified the dates of radiographs taken on horses about to be sold at Keeneland. Keeneland requires that radiographs are taken within a set time period of when a horse sells, time frames that vary from sale to sale. But the law suit alleges that many of the radiographs were not in accordance with Keeneland’s rules and were, therefore, outdated. An outdated radiograph may not reveal a problem a horse has developed nearing the time of the sale, which could lead to a buyer purchasing a horse without complete and accurate knowledge of its physical history. The story was first reported by the Lexington Herald Leader. Keeneland is not named in the lawsuit. This story will be updated throughout the day.
