Thomass Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) So poor Kelly FINALLY got 'caught' issuing her punishment on a winner's flank Apparently she's unaware of where her whip's striking "Stipendiary Steward Ms L Selvakumaran presented video footage that, when reviewed in slow motion, showed Ms Myers applying the whip several times in a downward motion in the vicinity of the the horse’s flank over the concluding stages of the race. Ms Myers stated that she had not been aware the whip had made contact with the flank area and that any such contact was entirely inadvertent." Incredibly she then pulls out the IGNORANCE defence "Stipendiary Steward Ms L Selvakumaran presented video footage that, when reviewed in slow motion, showed Ms Myers applying the whip several times in a downward motion in the vicinity of the the horse’s flank over the concluding stages of the race. Hahahaha, even after the HOPELESSLY INEPT RIB has stated "we're in the process of 'educating' these jockeys over the last year" Ms Myers stated that she had not been aware the whip had made contact with the flank area and that any such contact was entirely inadvertent. Hahahaha, even after the HOPELESSLY INEPT RIB has stated "we're in the process of 'educating' these jockeys over the last year" A flank is a flank is a flank wherever a 'jockey' thinks it may be OMFG Edited January 21 by Thomass
Thomass Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 (edited) Soz editing hopeless This load of old cobblers from Kelly as well though "Ms Myers submitted that, in the context of this being her first charge under the flank‑whip provision, there was no practical distinction between delivering one strike or four strikes to the flank, as she was unaware that her whip was making contact with that part of the horse. She argued that her lack of awareness meant the number of strikes should not be viewed as an aggravating factor on this occasion." Seriously, how long has she been riding horses? And the RIB swallowed this garbage FFS!! Edited January 21 by Thomass 1

Thomass Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 well NZTR told me 'have patience..help is coming" translate.."the RIB ore too busy/understaffed to be caring much about whip welfare The proof of Matt Bellesty's stated commitment to welfare will be in the next round of whip iterations Will they totally ban the forehand use forward of the saddle and any use between the shoulder/hindquarter.(.just like first world jurisdictions)...which RIB are basically ignoring... What should be done DQ's for obvious cheating...every whip violation counts in a 6 month period...the entire whip length padded...et el 1
