Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted 4 hours ago Journalists Posted 4 hours ago The first foal sired by Grade I winner Domestic Product (Practical Joke–Goods and Services, by Paynter) arrived Friday, Jan. 23 at Hidden Brook Farm in Kentucky. “It's her first foal but he has good bone and the substance is there. We're very happy with him,” said owner Sergio de Sousa. The colt is the first produce from his dam She Caught My Eye (Violence), a five-time winner of better than $170,000 from ages three to five and a half-sister to the stakes-placed Jewel of Arabia (Daredevil). The colt's third dam Purrfectly (Storm Cat) was responsible for the classy Santa Catarina (Unbridled), a Grade II winner and placed three times at the highest level, including a runner-up effort to Bird Town in the 2003 Kentucky Oaks. This is also the female family of former 'TDN Rising Star' presented by Hagyard and current Kentucky stallion Caracaro. Bred and raced by Seth Klarman's Klaravich Stables and trained by Chad Brown, Domestic Product won the GIII Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby, but proved most effective at one turn, winning the one-mile GIII Dwyer Stakes ahead of a victory in the GI H. Allen Jerkens Memorial Stakes where the vanquished included recent Eclipse Award winner Book'em Danno (Bucchero). Those accomplishments mirrored those of his sire in 2017. Domestic Product stands alongside Practical Joke at Coolmore's Kentucky nursery and will cover mares at a fee of $25,000 in 2026.
