Trainer Chad Brown displays strength and breadth of his female turf fillies in Saturday’s GIII Herecomesthebride S. Leading the charge from the outside post eight is Klaravich Stables’ Connectivity (Midshipman), a come-from-behind debut winner over this course Jan. 12. Working in tandem with multiple graded winner Rymska (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}) in her latest work, she negotiated four furlongs in :49.85 at Palm Meadows Feb. 23 (XBTV video). To her inside is stablemate Cambier Parc (Medaglia d’Oro). Favored in her debut at sprinting in the Aqueduct mud Nov. 3, the bay didn’t have the easiest of trips in the early going and had to settle for fourth. Trying the turf while stretching to a route of ground last time, the OXO Equine campaigned filly drew clear late to score by an impressive four lengths. Rounding out the trio is Golconda (Fr) (Planteur {Ire}), who is making her Stateside debut. No worse than second in four starts overseas, the chestnut gets the services of Javier Castellano, who strikes with over 25% Brown’s turf runners he rides. My Gal Betty (Point of Entry) kicked off her career by crossing the wire first in a trio of starts at Woodbine (she was subsequently disqualified to third in the My Dear S. July 7), including the most recent a score in the six-furlong Catch a Glimpse S. Aug. 25. A close-up second in the GI Natalma S., she failed yo handle the soggy turf in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Churchill Downs Nov. 2. Preparing for her 2019 reappearance at Payson, the bay gains the services of John Velazquez. Norm Casse offers up Bell Laura (Mucho Macho Man), a debut winner at Churchill last September before closing to be third in the GII Jessamine S. at Keeneland Oct. 10. Seventh in the Juvenile Fillies last fall, the bay has since been freshened and comes into this off a series of strong works at Palm Meadows, including the most recent a bullet four-furlong move Feb. 23 (XBTV video). Wearing blinkers in that latest work, the filly makes her first start with the equipment change.
