Sol Kumin and partners Mark and Jose Lore, in a deal brokered by Fernando Dias-Valdez, purchased a 50% interest in the 3-year-old prior to Sunday’s race. Ya Primo, who was campaigned in Chile by breeder Don Alberto and Javier Carvallo, also won this year’s G1 El Derby and G2 Copa Juan S. Jackson. He has won five of nine starts to date.
