Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 27, 2018 Journalists Share Posted April 27, 2018 The Goffs Punchestown Sale, staged Thursday evening after racing at the Punchestown Festival, returned a record top price and a record average. The boutique sale was headed by the maiden winner Lecale’s Article (Ire) (Malinas {Ger}) (lot 12), who was bought by David Minton of Highflyer Bloodstock for €320,000 from Patrick Turley’s Kingsfield Stud. Fourteen of the 18 horses offered on the night were sold for an aggregate of €1,752,000 (up 4%), an average of €125,143 (up 11%) and a median of €110,000 (up 10%). Goffs Chief Executive Henry Beeby said, “The eighth Goffs Punchestown Sale proved to be the most successful so far with a record top price of €320,000 and a record average.
