Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted April 22, 2019 Journalists Share Posted April 22, 2019 Thoroughbred Week, a new digital content platform for industry participants to tell their stories, launched today. The website features original content, with an emphasis on video, and first-person articles provided by industry stakeholders from all segments of the business. With early support from the likes of Graham and Anita Motion, Jill Baffert, Hall of Fame jockey Ramon Dominguez, and photographer Alex Evers, Thoroughbred Week will feature articles, photography, interviews, and videos aimed to educate and create awareness about the Thoroughbred industry. The racing telecast, “Thoroughbred Week,” aired for 21 years (1995-2016). The 30-minute program highlighted the week’s top stakes winners and their connections and was hosted and co-produced by John Henderson along with Scott Rion. In 2018, Jon and Christine Siegel acquired the rights to the name, and are taking the brand in a new direction. “At our core we are storytellers,” said Jon Siegel. “We’ve assembled a team based on our relationships over the last 20 years, looking for people who are like-minded in our pursuit of promoting this great sport. To have Graham and Anita, Ramon, Jill, and Alex all agree to join our existing team of Christine Siegel, Michael Compton, and myself is very exciting.” View the full article
