Yankiwi Posted April 30, 2019 Share Posted April 30, 2019 (edited) Yesterday in Dunedin there were some prime examples of why I believe the traps should be delayed in opening until at least the lure is out of the corner & heading down the backstretch, even if that means it's going a bit slower when the boxes trigger. #8 wants the lure! #6 wants the lure! Now I understand they are going to tamper with the lure arm length, by extending it further from the rail, which I believe is a very good move. But I also believe that the lure should be "further down the track" when boxes pop open. That way the lure appears to the dogs to be between the them & the first corner, not between them & the finish line while they're still in the backstretch!
