Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today’s Observations features this year’s Tattersalls Craven topper.

7.30 Windsor, Novice, £7,400, 2yo, f, 5f 21yT
DIVINE SPIRIT (GB) (Kingman {GB}) was the 850,000gns Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up topper last month who makes a quick appearance for Godolphin and Charlie Appleby. The daughter of the G2 Queen Mary S. runner-up Shyrl (GB) (Acclamation {GB}) and half-sister to the G2 Gimcrack S. and G2 Mill Reef S. third Raucous (GB) (Dream Ahead), who was withdrawn from her intended debut at Ascot 10 days ago, is met by Bermuda Thoroughbred Racing’s similarly unraced Pink Sands (Ire) (No Nay Never), a 230,000gns William Haggas-trained fellow graduate of the Craven Breeze-Up from the family of the sire Twilight Agenda (Devil’s Bag).
