Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today’s Observations features a full-brother to G1 Irish Oaks heroine Seventh Heaven (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}).

AL SUHAIL (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) debuts in an intriguing July meeting maiden won on four of the last seven occasions by a Godolphin representative. Sporting the royal blue first colours this time is this 1.1million gns Tattersalls October Book 1 graduate, whose half-brother Telecaster (GB) (New Approach {Ire}) was unraced at the time of his purchase but has since gone on to win the G2 Dante S. Charlie Appleby introduces the February-foaled son of the G1 Epsom and Irish Oaks runner-up Shirocco Star (GB) (Shirocco {Ger}) in a contest that features runners from the major stables. They include Ballydoyle’s Kipling (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), a full-brother to the Irish Oaks heroine Seventh Heaven (Ire) and half to the G1 Middle Park S. winner Crusade (Mr. Greeley) who was second to TDN Rising Star and subsequent Listed Chesham S. runner-up Lope Y Fernandez (Ire) (Lope de Vega {Ire}) on his sole start at The Curragh last month, and two newcomers from the John Gosden yard. They are Shadwell’s Eshaasy (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}\fs21plain ), a half-brother to the G1 2000 Guineas and G1 St James’s Palace S. hero Galileo Gold (GB) (Paco Boy {Ire}), and Khalid Abdullah’s Tsar (GB) (Kingman {GB}), an April-foaled half-brother to the G3 Prix Thomas Bryon runner-up Alpha Bravo (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}).
