Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 12, 2019 Journalists Share Posted July 12, 2019 Osare (Medaglia d’Oro–Bubbler, by Distorted Humor), the 4-year-old half-sister to champion Arrogate (Unbridled’s Song), has been retired from racing. Purchased by Bridlewood Farm for $300,000 as a Keeneland September yearling, she annexed the Dueling Grounds Oaks this past September at Kentucky Downs but was most recently off the board in the GIII Robert G. Dick Memorial S. at Delaware last Saturday. “She chased a fast pace at Delaware,” trainer Jonathan Thomas told the NYRA press department. “She’s already a stakes winner, but with her pedigree you want to give her a chance to be graded stakes placed. We’re going to retire her to be a broodmare.” He added, “She went back to Bridlewood and they have a lot of time until the breeding season to decide who she will be bred to. With her pedigree and the fact that she is a stakes winner, there’s nothing but upside.” The post Osare, Half to Arrogate, Retired appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
