Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted July 20, 2019 Journalists Share Posted July 20, 2019 The start of Monmouth Park’s GI TVG.com Haskell Invitational S. card was delayed approximately 30 minutes as officials and participants discussed whether or not to run in extremely warm conditions. According to the Asbury Park Press, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy contacted the track’s operator Dennis Drazin to express his concerns about the conditions. After two late scratches, the first race took place, and the track said it would reevaluate the running of any more races after the second contest–as of now, there appears to be a delay before that race.
