The 9-5 favorite broke sharply, but conceded the initiative to Aye Aye Sir (Midshipman), who blazed the way through an opening quarter in :21.38. Chasing in second rounding the far turn, Mystic Lancelot lugged in at the top of the stretch after receiving a right hander from John Velazquez. He quickly straightened course, however, collared the ambitious pacesetter from the outside in midstretch and took off nicely from there en route to a promising three-length victory in a very sharp final clocking. Art Collector (Bernardini) was up for second. Aye Aye Sir tired to fourth. Roadbug, also represented by a Cairo Prince filly of 2018, was bred to Cross Traffic for the 2020 season. The winner’s third dam is GISW Diplomat Lady (Forestry). Sales history: $340,000 Ylg ’18 KEESEP; $450,000 2yo ’19 EASMAY. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $49,500.
