Lot 23, a colt by Galileo (Ire) consigned by Haras d’Etreham, topped the early proceedings of the Arqana August Yearling Sale in Deauville on Saturday when selling for €800,000 to Phoenix Thoroughbred and D. Farrington. Out of French MG1SP Steip Amach (Ire) (Vocalised) who was also a two-time Group 3 winner in Ireland, the colt’s dam is a half-sister to Ceisteach (Ire) (New Approach {Ire}), a Grade III winner Stateside. He was bred by Haras d’Etreham, Riviera Equine and Johann Levirg Holdings.
