Just one hip after a colt by Galileo (Ire) sold for €1.5 million, lot 148, a filly by Dubawi (Ire), bettered that price to the tune of €1.625 million during the second session of the Arqana August Yearling Sale. Purchased by Godolphin SNC, the Ecurie des Monceaux consignee is from the same family to boot, being a daughter of French listed winner Prudenzia (Ire) (Dansili {GB}) and a half-sister to G1 Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) and Group 2 winner Magic Wand (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The latter has also placed second six Group 1 races on the world stage and was second in the GI Arlington Million on Aug. 11. The May foal was bred by Ecurie des Monceaux and Skymarc Farm Inc. in Ireland.
