Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted August 26, 2019 Journalists Share Posted August 26, 2019 Craig Thornton received a great welcome home gift at Ellerslie on Saturday when Lacustre took out the CLC Pakuranga Hunt Cup (4900m) for trainer Samantha Logan. Thornton has recently returned from a seven month training stint in China and he was pleased to be trackside on Saturday to watch the horse he formerly trained, and still part-owns, take out the time-honoured race. “To get home and have him back at Ellerslie and to get the job done it was a pretty special occasion,” he said.
