Lady Prancelot (Ire) (Sir Prancelot {Ire}), multiple stakes placed in 2018, bumped up her game another notch this term, winning in her seasonal debut going a mile in a Santa Anita optional claimer in February. A close-up third in the nine-furlong GIII Providencia S. Apr. 6, she once again was on the losing end of a narrow decision when second in the May 4 GIII Senorita S. over a mile. Back in the winner’s circle following a victory in the nine-panel GIII Honeymoon S. June 1, she closed to be a good third in the GI Del Mar Oaks Aug. 17. Also, looking to gain an edge for Team USA, Romantic Pursuit (Medaglia d’Oro) tries to make it three straight for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin after scoring in a 10-furlong maiden here July 5 followed by a head victory over this course and trip July 28. Luis Saez gets the call on the Godolphin homebred.

Among the cast of foreign invaders, Wonderment (Ire) (Camelot {GB}) became the first filly in 14 years to take the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud last October while becoming the first Group 1 winner for her trainer Nicholas Clement since 2013. This season, the Stella Thayer-campaigned filly finished fourth at Chantilly in May before coming home seventh–beaten 2 ½ lengths–in the G1 Prix de Diane Longines June 16. Most recently, Wonderment never go into the mix of things and had to settle for sixth in the Aug. 11 G3 Prix Minerve at Deauville.

Representing HH the Aga Khan, Edisa (Kitten’s Joy) broke her maiden at Maisons-Laffitte stretching out to 10 ½ furlongs in her third career start before adding another to the win column at ParisLongchamp in the Listed Prix Melisandre S. June 10. Runner up under Christophe Soumillon in both Saint-Cloud’s 1 1/2-mile G2 Prix de Malleret June 30 and the 10-furlong G3 Prix de Psyche S. at Deauville July 27, she gets the services of Flavien Prat for her U.S. bow.
