Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 5, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 5, 2019 Saddled with a penalty after her debut win at Kempton Sept. 6, Godolphin’s White Moonlight (Medaglia d’Oro) proved in a class of her own as she dominated Saturday’s Lettergold British EBF Novice S. at Newmarket. Sent off at 5-1, the bay travelled strongly on the front end under Oisin Murphy and drew clear running down into the ‘dip’ en route to a 3 3/4-length defeat of Arthurian Fable (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), with Grain of Sense (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}) 1 3/4 lengths away in third. “The plan is to take her to Dubai, as she is bred for dirt and there is the UAE Guineas, UAE Oaks and, if she’s good enough, the UAE Derby. She is the best filly of my 2-year-olds so far,” trainer Saeed bin Suroor said. WHITE MOONLIGHT (f, 2, Medaglia d’Oro–Fitful Skies {Ire} {Hwt. Older Mare-Ger at 9.5-11f, GSW-Ger, GISP-Can & MSP-Fr, $225,868}, by Dubawi {Ire}). O/B-Godolphin (KY); T-Saeed bin Suroor; J-Oisin Murphy. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0.
