Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 5, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 5, 2019 Tiz the Law (2, c, Constitution–Tizfiz, by Tiznow), an easy winner against fellow New York breds at Saratoga Aug. 8, took advantage of the swift early fractions carved out by the dueling duo of GII Saratoga Special hero Green Light Go (Hard Spun) and Gozilla (Flatter) and strode home an easy five-length winner. Stumbling slightly at the start, Tiz the Law settled a few lengths adrift of initial fractions of :22.57 and :46.15. In behind a wall of horses approaching the home turn, the Barclay Tagg trainee soon found daylight in early stretch, closed with a rush down the center of the lane, ran clear in the blink of an eye and proved best to collect his first taste of black-type.Green Light Go hung on for second while closing Big City Bob (Shanghai Bobby) was up for third. Final time for the 8-furlong contest was 1:35.41. Tiz the Law is the third graded winner for his sire (by Tapit), and the first at the Grade I level. Lifetime Record: 2-2-0-0, $342,900. O-Sackatoga Stable; B-Twin Creeks Farm (NY); T-Barcklay Tagg.
