Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 9, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 9, 2019 Tony Williams has been appointed as the CEO of Aquis Stud Farm as of Jan. 1, 2020, after Aquis’s Board of Directors decided to separate the stud farm operations across three Australian states from Aquis’s Australian and international racing businesses. Previously the Managing Director of Goffs UK since late in 2016, Williams brings over 40 years of experience to the role. He also spent time working with Magic Millions and Newgate Farm, as well as an agent for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. “I’m extremely honoured to be joining the Aquis Farm team,” said Williams. “Their foresight and ingenuity at becoming a market leader is second to none, and I can’t wait to ensure the vision of the Fung family comes to fruition. Having been in the UK for the past few years, I’d like to thank Goffs for the opportunities presented to me, while I am looking forward to heading back to Australia and being located in Queensland.” “It’s a very exciting time for Aquis–having recently acquired the hottest stallion prospect in the country, and with Tony Williams joining the team, whose international standing is second to none, Aquis’s position within the global breeding and racing industries has once again strengthened further,” stated Shane McGrath, who is now the Managing Director of Aquis Farm with a focus toward Aquis’s racing operation at an Australian and international level.
