Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 11, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 11, 2019 In anticipation of the arrival of Typhoon Hagibis, the Japan Racing Association has postponed its cards at Tokyo Racecourse on Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday’s meeting having included the G1 Shuka Sho, the final leg of the Japanese Fillies’ Triple Crown. That card has been rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 21. Saturday’s card will be run on Oct. 15. Typhoon Hagabis is expected to bring the strongest rain and winds seen in the capital in 60 years. Two Rugby World Cup matches set for Sunday have been cancelled, while a Sunday match is in doubt. The Japanese Formula One Grand Prix has postponed practice and qualifying sessions originally set for Saturday to Sunday. Tokyo Disneyland will close on Saturday for the first time for a weather incident since 1984, and most flights, trains and subways will be shut down.
