The Local is back at his favourite task trying to pick a winner at Mount Harding track Methven Sunday the fields are large and even but this is what he has come up with;

Race 1– Beau Major- Encouraging efforts to date can get the loot

            El Chapo- Tough from the unruly but big chance for this lovely bred type

            The Guild- Form says it all will start favourite

Race 2-  Madam Sass- Excellent Trial but tough race to debut in good beginning essential

              Superfast Lad- Much improved wee fella and wouldn’t need to go much better

              DD’s Super Stuart – Tough type who if he gets away on terms will give locals a big say

Race 3- Prodigal Guinness – Raced without luck stable flying big chance

              Better Fly- Another with strong lead up workouts leading into this each way

              Kingsdown Atom- Back from brief let up just a hint of toughness which should help

Race 4- Just Michael- Lovely horse who with manners should be to strong

              Laver- Encouraging to date just as clear second pick

              Duke- Will certainly make up a short priced trifecta if all goes to plan

Race 5-Ardee Trouble- Erratic customer but a lot of ability and tough enough to do a bit

             Beyond The Horizon- Excellent stable and races well here danger

             Foreigner- If develops into a war will be handy and keep fighting

Race 6-Franco Garrett- Form says it all definitely his turn

             Delight Of Texas- Drawn to get soft run and tough enough to take advantage  

             Matthew Eyre- Honest type who will be in fight for a long way

Race 7-Essence Of Eden- Another who will suit track especially if sting out clear first pick

             Standout- Good stayer in the making will unwind late

             Stick Man- Fitter than most and more ability than most drop in class each way

Race8-Cast No Shadow- Little inferior to last seasons 3 year old should be too good

           Chiller Bay- Has good horses record likes grass hard to beat

            Copperhead Rose- Another good stayer if turns into slog will keep coming

Race 9  Chase Auckland- Huge ability may follow them out early if settled wins

              The Fixer- Excellent record first up but if turns into slog will be the one

              Clasina Maria- We can’t leave her out despite jump in opposition so genuine

Race 10-We’ll Meet Again- Difficult race to win from mark but lead up earns our vote

                Girl’s Let Loose- Trainer must have learnt plenty from illustrious late uncle going by her good record, danger

               Renezmae – Will start favourite and run like 2 starts ago will take her deep into finish

Race 11 Delightful Tanner- One paced but very game bolter in get out stakes

               Rake- Form and draw tops possible favourite

               Doctor Tim- Has beaten better fields and last run suggested coming right
