Previously it was announced that the stud had purchased a share in the bay. A half-length second in the Oct. 6 G1 Qatar Prix de la Foret at ParisLongchamp, the Stephane Wattel trainee’s fee will be announced later. The 5-year-old son of Siyouni, who raced for Ecurie Jean Louis Bouchard, won the 2018 G3 Prix de Saint-Georges and the 2019 G3 Qatar Prix du Pin. Bred by Jedburgh Stud and I. Corbani, the €55,000 ARQOCT yearling was also second in the 2018 G1 Diamond Jubilee S. at Royal Ascot. His record stands at 22-7-9-0 with earnings of $666,001. “He will retire to stud now,” said Wattel. “Haras d’Etreham is one of the well-known studs in France. He was a good horse for us.” Out of the dual winner Light Saber herself a daughter of GI Budweiser International S. heroine Leariva (Irish River {Fr}), City Light is a half-brother to Norwegian SW Busybeingfabulous (Fr) (Soldier of Fortune {Ire}) and French MGSP Soft Light (Authorized {Ire}).
