Owendale (Into Mischief) (Classic), a three-time graded winner this season and a last out hero of the GIII Oklahoma Derby, breezed six furlongs in 1:13.60 (1/2) at Churchill Downs Saturday. “They went really slow to start the work and I didn’t really draw it up that way,” trainer Brad Cox said. “[Owendale] really came home strong and galloped out well. He’s always been a really talented horse and showed that in many of his races this season as a 3-year-old.”

• After the Churchill Downs track renovation break at 7:30 a.m., MGISW & ‘TDN Rising Star’ Elate (Medaglia d’Oro) (Classic/Distaff) took to the track under Penny Gardiner and jogged one mile prior to her three-furlong bullet in :34.60 (1/8). Elate galloped out a half-mile in :47.40. She is scheduled to leave Churchill Downs on Sunday to fly to Santa Anita.

Mr. Money (Goldencents) (Dirt Mile), a close second in the GI Pennsylvania Derby after posting four straight graded stakes scores, worked a bullet five furlongs in :59.20 (1/58) at Churchill Downs Saturday. “It was a really strong work this morning,” trainer Bret Calhoun said. “He works fast every time he’s out there and today was no different.”

Got Stormy (Get Stormy) (Mile), heroine of the GI Fourstardave H. and runner-up in the GI Ricoh Woodbine Mile S. against males, worked five furlongs in 1:01.20 (11/58) at Churchill Downs Saturday. “I thought it was a very nice and relaxed work for her,” trainer Mark Casse’s assistant David Carroll said. “It was pretty busy on the track when she worked, but I thought she really galloped out nicely and was well within herself throughout the entire work.”

Math Wizard (Algorithms) (Classic), a 31-1 upset winner of the GI Pennsylvania Derby Sept. 21, worked a four-furlong bullet in :46.48 (1/96) at Gulfstream Park Saturday. “He’s worked somewhat similar to how he worked before Pennsylvania,” trainer Saffie Joseph, Jr. said. “Everything’s gone on time, everything’s gone good.”

• Santa Anita breezers Saturday included: Higher Power (Medaglia d’Oro) (Classic): five furlongs in 1:01 (11/61); Mongolian Groom (Hightail) (Classic): four furlongs in :49.20 (18/60); Catalina Cruiser (Union Rags) (Sprint/Dirt Mile): five furlongs in 1:00.60 (5/61); and Shancelot (Shanghai Bobby) (Sprint): four furlongs in :46.80 (1/60).
