Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 21, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 21, 2019 MGSW & GISP Taj Mahal (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}-You’resothrilling, by Storm Cat), a full-brother to champion and dual Guineas hero Gleneagles (Ire), will stand at Haras de la Haie Neuve in 2020, Jour de Galop reported on Monday. The deal was brokered by Emmanuel de Seroux. A fee for the 5-year-old, who brought A$560,000 at this year’s Magic Millions Gold Coast National Broodmare Sale in May, will be announced later. Group placed during his European campaigns and runner-up Stateside in the GI Secretariat S. for a Coolmore partnership and trainer Aidan O’Brien, the You’resothrilling Syndicate-bred won the 2017 and 2018 editions of the G2 Zipping Classic in the colours of Nick and Lloyd Williams et al. with trainers Robert Hickmott and Liam Howley, respectively. He also landed last year’s G3 JRA Cup, and he retires with four wins in 31 starts with earnings of $838,037. Haras de la Haie Neuve Manager Tangi Saliou said, “He has a dream pedigree. His mother has had six starters, five are group winners, three of whom are G1SWs… We will strongly support Taj Mahal, as we have always done in the past with our other stallions. He will arrive next Saturday at Haras de la Haie Neuve and will be available for viewing during the Deauville sales.” A full-brother to the aforementioned Gleneagles, Taj Mahal also counts G1 Irish 1000 Guineas heroine Marvellous (Ire), MG1SW Happily (Ire), and GSW & GISP Coolmore (Ire) as full-sisters. His dam is a full-sister to MG1SW and champion sire Giant’s Causeway and fellow sire Freud. “It’s a real family of stallions, with Giant’s Causeway, Gleneagles and Freud,” added Alain Regnier of Haras de la Haie Neuve.
