Observations on the European Racing Scene turns the spotlight on the best European races of the day, highlighting well-pedigreed horses early in their careers, horses of note returning to action and young runners that achieved notable results in the sales ring. Today’s Observations features a half-brother to champion miler Solow.

11.55 Deauville, Debutantes, €27,000, 2yo, c/g, 8fT
SALESMAN (IRE) (Dubawi {Ire}) represents the Wertheimer brothers and the Andre Fabre stable and is the latest progeny out of High Maintenance (Fr) (Highest Honor {Fr}) who gave the operation the multiple Group 1 winner Solow (GB) (Singspiel {Ire}). Among the dozen rivals he meets is Shadwell’s Ayaad (Kingman {GB}), a Jean-Claude Rouget-trained son of the dual graded stakes-placed Mamdooha (Daaher) from the family of Nashwan et al.
