GISP Normandy Invasion (Tapit–Boston Lady, by Boston Harbor) has been relocated to Dr. William J. Solomon’s Pin Oak Lane Farm in New Freedom, Pennsylvania for the 2020 breeding season. He will stand for $2,500, stands and nurses. The bay, who entered stud in New York under the ownership of Spendthrift Farm, stood in the Empire State for three seasons before moving to Kentucky for 2019. His first crop of foals are 2-year-olds this year.

“Normandy Invasion has the physical appearance and the same pattern as other successful Grade I-quality horses that I have selected,” said noted bloodstock agent Tom McGreevy, who is responsible for selecting champions Havre de Grace, Songbird, Midnight Lute.

During his sophomore season in 2013, Normandy Invasion finished runner up in the GII Risen Star S. and GI Wood Memorial before finishing fourth in the GI Kentucky Derby. Sidelined for the rest of that season, he marked his return at four with a track-record setting performance going a mile in a Gulfstream Park allowance. At five, he retired from racing with two wins from 12 starts and earnings of $551,900.
