Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 30, 2019 Journalists Share Posted October 30, 2019 The Kentucky Derby museum adjacent to Churchill Downs will host a function Monday, Nov. 4 to help launch Louisville Story Program’s latest book entitled Better Lucky Than Good: Tall Tales and Straight Talk From the Backside of the Track. The book launch is free and open to the public, which will have a chance to speak with the authors, purchase a book and have it signed. There are 32 people featured in the book including equine workers, backside employees, assistant trainers and people from the neighborhoods immediately surrounding Churchill Downs. “There are just so many great stories, and such colorful history,” said Carla Grego, one of the authors and an employee of the Derby museum. “I feel very blessed to be included in this book. It lets me look back at my life and really appreciate the richness and how fortunate I am to live the life I have lived in the horse racing industry.” The post Derby Museum Helps to Launch New Book appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
