Ruler of the World (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), the 2013 G1 Investec Derby winner owned jointly by Coolmore and Al Shaqab Racing, will relocate to Al Shaqab’s Haras de Bouquetot in France for 2020. He will stand for €6,000 and will be available for viewing during the Arqana December sales.

As a half-brother to the Group 1 winner and accomplished sire Duke of Marmalade (Ire) (Danehill), full-brother to G3 Kilternan S. winner Norway (Ire) and sibling to three other stakes horses from the family of A.P. Indy, Ruler of the World is beautifully bred and from a first crop of only 45 foals due to an injury sustained during breeding season, Ruler of the World sired the G1 Fillies’ Mile winner Iridessa (Ire) and the multiple listed placed The World Is Your (Ire). Ruler of the World, who also won the G2 Prix Foy at four and was third in the G1 Champion S., is the sire of 14 winners from 37 runners in 2019.

Benoit Jeffroy, stud manager at Haras de Bouquetot, said, “We are delighted to welcome an Epsom Derby winner by Galileo, the sire of multiple Group 1 winner Iridessa from a very small first crop, here at Haras de Bouquetot. It’s a great opportunity for breeders to have access to the only Group 1 producer by Galileo to stand in France.”
