Journalists Wandering Eyes Posted October 30, 2019 Journalists Posted October 30, 2019 John Gosden, who is having one of the best seasons of his illustrious training career with the likes of Enable (GB) (Nathaniel {Ire}), Stradivarius (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), Too Darn Hot (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), Logician (GB) (Frankel {GB}) and Anapurna (GB) (Frankel {GB}) as flagbearers, reached a significant milestone on Wednesday when reaching his 3000th career win with El Misk (GB) (Dansili {GB}) at Kempton. According to Racing Post statistics, that puts Gosden onto the top 10 list of Britain’s all-time winningest trainers. Gosden is looking to defend his title as champion trainer in 2018 as well as set a new personal best annual win tally (he currently sits on 169, having won 178 races last year), but will have to see off a notable challenge from Aidan O’Brien, who fields five of the 12 runners in Friday’s G1 Vertem Futurity Trophy. Gosden saddles Cherokee Trail (War Front) and Verboten (Ire) (No Nay Never) in Britain’s final Group 1 of the season.
