Thursday by recommendation of Dr. Rick Arthur, equine medical director for the California Horse Racing Board. The story was first reported by the Daily Racing Form. Thais was entered as a pacemaker for likely favorite Sistercharlie (Ire) (Myboycharlie {Ire}), who won this race last year en route to an Eclipse Award. Thais’s last three starts were in Grade Is won by Sistercharlie, most recently finishing third in Belmont’s GI Flower Bowl S. Oct. 6.
