UNI (GB) (m, 5 More Than Ready–Unaided {GB}, by Dansili {GB}) registered a powerful victory in the GI TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile, leading home a female exacta over Got Stormy (Get Stormy). The 7-2 shot ran off the fence in her preferred position near the back of the pack as Hey Gaman (GB) (New Approach {Ire}) and GI Woodbine Mile victor El Tormenta (Stormy Atlantic) traded blows through early splits of :22.78 and :45.32. Making an eye-catching move on the backstretch run, the chestnut was six wide outside of Got Stormy turning for home and the two immediately rolled clear of their male counterparts. The female duo dueled briefly, but Uni had another gear to go and charged clear of Got Stormy for a decisive win in 1:32.45. Without Parole (GB) (Frankel {GB}). Closing out 2018 with a win in the GI Matriarch S., Uni opened this season with a facile score in Belmont’s Perfect Sting S. June 29. Third to Got Stormy when facing males in Saratoga’s GI Fourstardave H. Lifetime Record: 18-10-3-3.

O-Head Plains, Michael Dubb, Robert LaPenta & Bethlehem Stables; B-Haras D’Etreham (GB); T-Chad Brown.
